Richard Shallcross Bio:

Hi.   My name is Richard Shallcross.   I've been practicing law in Tulsa County since 1982. I'm married with three children.

Throughout all of these years of practicing law, I have been solving people's problems.  That is what I do.  I am a problem solver.  I have found that every client's legal problem is unique to them.  Facts differ from case to case.  The relevant law differs from case to case.  Personalities and emotions differ from case to case.  My job as a lawyer has been to analyze and solve clients' legal problems in a way that results in a just result for my client.

I have been trained to analyze and solve legal problems.  My undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering (B.S. in M.E., Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 1970) and I have been a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and Oklahoma since 1978.  I have been trained to solve business problems. (M.B.A. in Management, Georgia State University, 1973).  My law degree is from the University of Tulsa Law School where I graduated in the top 10% of my class (J.D. University of Tulsa, 1981).

Solving complicated legal problems has often required the presentation (or defense) of claims in court.  I have tried many jury cases in the county and federal courts.  I have tried many bench trials in the bankruptcy, probate, and family courts.  I have been certified to be an "Advocate" by the National College of Advocacy in every year since 1992.

I have often been retained to advance (or defend) appeals in the appellate courts of this state, and within the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.  To review some of my appeals that have resulted in published decisions, click here.

When I am not solving somebody's legal problems or with my family, I can usually be found on a baseball field.  I am a Director and Treasurer of Tulsa Little League Baseball, Inc., and coach of one of my children's baseball team.  I am the "Commissioner" of Tulsa Little League Baseball's Teenage Division, where I help to make summer baseball a reality for approximately 200 area youths.  I also swim or jog daily.  My jogging buddy is Lucky Dog.

If you have a serious legal problem, I hope that you will consider allowing me to solve it, and to obtain a just result for you and your family.
